Tele2 board approves Patoka as operator’s new chief

MOSCOW, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- The board of directors of Russian mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, working as Tele2, has approved Andrei Patoka as a new general director, the company said on Wednesday in a statement.

Tele2’s former head Sergei Emdin, who had been at the company’s helm since February 2016, “will continue his career in another industry,” the company said.

“As the company’s head, Andrei Patoka will focus on maintaining high dynamics of growth in financial and operating results, strengthening Tele2’s reputation as a trendsetter of the industry, and launching the best solutions for clients,” the operator said.

Before the nomination, Patoka was Tele2’s deputy general director for product, marketing, and development of federal clients.

Tele2 services 46.6 million clients, including the mobile virtual network operator of its parent Rostelecom.
